Presents

Nobody wants to see us so they are mostly of Catherine.

CHRISTmas Eve

We had a quiet Christmas Eve. It didn't entail much but the spirit was prominently there. We had our traditional Clam Chowder and Chili dinner. During dinner we watched the Testaments movie which followed the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Death with the Resurrection as well. After dinner and our movie we read Luke 2 which tells about the birth of Christ. After we went to look at some christmas lights. We sang christmas songs in the car (with the radio) and finally made it to our destination. The Tree. It looked so beautiful. Much more than the pictures can tell. We followed christmas lights all the way home where we watched a few episodes of Lois and Clark (the christmas episodes) and off to bed we went.

I'm just like Daddy

Cute little girl with feet so sweat......Time for dress up and got to love those shoes!

No Santa's Hat This Year

We took the tree out and set it up. We put the ornaments on the tree and Catherine took them down. Yes our tree is half naked because of our cute kid. We put bows on the presents and Catherine took them off. We put candy canes on the tree and Catherine pulled them down. We put Santa hats on Catherine and she quickly took each one off. Maybe she'll do better next year.

Awesome Ice Tree

The other day Stephen and I were looking for a store while getting lost in the process and stumbled upon this way cool tree. It is completely filled with ice and looks way better than the pictures could ever bring. It looks like they turn on christmas lights at night and I think that that would look so way cool. Maybe I can get Stephen to drive me by there at night time to see. But here are the day time pics!

Songs Of Joy

In church on Sunday Catherine was sitting on Stephens lap during the sacrament song. She likes to try and turn the pages in the hymn book while you sing but this time you could hear little wails coming from her. It was so cute. No words yet but she was doing her hardest to sing with everybody else. Now at home I will start to sing and she will chime in with her cute little melody!

A Pumpikn Full of Candy

Friday night was the ward trunk n treat. Catherine learned what trick or treating was. We walked thru the parking lot to the candy bowls and received candy. Catherine learned that she could take a handful if she put her hand in to take the candy. She then saw where the candy was put and continuously put her hand in the pumkin to get the suckers out. She had a lot of fun.

Saturday day we went to Trick or treat on Center Street. She was the only supergirl on Center Street. She walked to almost all the shops. She was having so much fun that she even tried to snake candy from other kids pumpkins.

Saturday evening we went to the University Mall and walked the whole mall trick or treating for even more candy. She enjoyed every minute going from shop to shop receiving more for her pumpkin!

Saturday night we went trick or treating around the block and she flew up the stoops to the front doors of the houses to collect her wonderful reward.

She had so much fun that she was tuckered out and fell to sleep on daddy's lap.

LOUD...... AND LOUDER

Catherine has found her voice over the last little while. If you would like to know how loud she has gotten, turn the volume on your speakers up all the way and then watch the video.

I was looking through some of Catherine's newborn pictures and found a little video that Stephen did. For anyone who was not able to see her in the hospital, she is only a few days old here.

Shoe Madness

Catherine has declared that she loves her new shoes. This morning when we got up, she went straight over to her new size 5 shoes and tried to put them on. When she didn't exceed in that, she went over to her chair, sat in it with her shoes and tried to put them on until Stephen came over and put them on. At nap time I took them off and put them on our bed while she napped in her crib. When she got up from her nap, she climbed out of her crib and sat on my bed and tried to put her shoes on. She just sat and did that until I came in and helped her put her shoes on. She is still wearing her shoes and loving them.

Surgery

Today we went to take catherine to have tubes put in her ears. She was very good for all the nurses to take readings. I think it is very unfair that children get to wear tops and bottoms and us adults have only a top to wear. They also put her ID tag around her ankle. How cute is that.

Surgery took a whole 15 minutes. 5 for anesthesia and 10 for her to start waking up. They brought her to us as soon as she started waking up. We had her sippy all ready for her and she snuggled and drank her sippy for the rest of the stay.

After we got home and she was able to settle down, we turned on her favorite movie, WALL-E and she went straight to sleep (for about a half hour). She has been up and playing/complaining the rest of the day.

Helpful

Tami went to pick Riley up from pre-school and I watched Eleanor for her. When Tami left Ealeanor cried. Catherine went and got Eleanors blanket from across the room and handed it to Eleanor. Such a great little helper I have!

Climber

Catherine is climbing on everything. She crawls up and then stands up on whatever she is on (even when it is not a stable surface). She then tries to get off the wrong way or walks right off and smacks herself on the head. Yesterday she was trying to get off her booster chair and landed a face plant on the ground. Today she walked right off Tami's couch. What on earth am I going to do with her??

I thought this was funny....

There are some people who like Obama and some who don't. Grandma Pete loves him and Stephen doesn't. For those who like to see funny pics about Obama here is one that beats them all. The title is President Monson and Elder Oaks give Barack Obama his genealogy. Click Here for the link.

Its a brake

Here is her cast!!I was thinking of going with a different color but I was told by numerous people that I HAD to go with PINK. Who would of thought! She got her cast off Aug. 13th.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today Catherine fell wrong on her arm and cracked the supracondylar. If you don't know what that is...it is her elbow bone. She is now in a splint and on Monday she will be put into a cast. My poor poor baby.

Walker and WALL-E

She's up, she's walking, and there she goes. Catherine is off and playing and walking. Where you may ask. To tami's front yard ....of course. And if I do not let her go in, she gets very upset. She knows that that is the play area. All the toys are there and so is the sand box. So that is her natural walk to place.

Catherine is getting into her movies now. She loves WALL-E. She giggles with the happy parts and she cries with the scary parts. The parts in WALL-E she cries about is when the red dots are on the screen. When the ship comes to land. It happens twice during the movie. But during that time she is very upset and wants to sit on anybodies lap. She puts a horrified expression on her face and starts to scream a panicked scream. It is hysterical to see.

Mom's Footsteps

I know this happened a month ago and I am just getting to put it up now...but I thought I would like my mother to know that I am following in her gorgeous footsteps.

The story behind my beautiful mess here is that Brittany and I finished cutting strawberries and I took a few to make into a syrup. I took my hand held blender and started mixing. After that I saw that some pieces were stuck in the sides of the blender so I put my finger in to get the pieces out and a slip of my other hand pushes the ower and slice, slice, slice it went.

Counting how many times that thing cut me, we counted over a dozen slices on my finger nail. Congrats Mom! I have followed in your footsteps of sharp objects in the kitchen!! Stephen will not let me use the blender any more.

Catherines Car Accident

So yesterday all of us were in the front yard doing the usual. Kids playing, adults talking. Catherine took the John Deer truck walker and walked up and down the path in the yard. She was having a lot of fun.

After that she got into the car and Stephen pushed her up and down the walkway. Riley decided he wanted his turn to push her since he couldn't get in it. So he pushed her.

It looked a lot less painful from the front. Tami saw it from the side and I saw it from the back. Fortunately she did not get any whiplash or anything concerning.

Today we noticed that she has a noticeable bruise on the left side of her forehead and redness on her left cheek from where she hit in her accident.Today we bought her a cute clip at the Farmers Market. She is wearing it in her hair. She looks so cute with it.

Swimmer

Catherine loves to go in water. She crawls to the bathroom to take a bath all the time. Now that the pools are open we go once a week with some friends of ours (Mike and Brittney). We all have a great time and we each take turns taking care of Catherine. Catherine loves Mike and Brittney. She cries when they leave. But here are some pics of Catherine's water adventures.

The Veterans Memorial Pool has a play area for kids.

Catherine was having a blast

Mike and Catherine. Even though she is not smiling she was having so much fun.

The pool that they have starts at 1 1/2 feet. Catherine was able to stand up by herself and have fun splashing around in the water.

I didn't see one of Brittney and Catherine so here is Brittney. She loves Catherine too. They have soo much fun playing with her.
